Hat Austrian Grenadiers

Waiting from my first sets to come, i got back in time when i was only painting, and i enjoyed this time. Now something about this set: it is definitively not the HAT standard. I believe is made for fast painters, probably very easy with black priming, but not very fancy for detail painters, the undercuts fillings are really taking away a lot of details, like in the shoulders where the greatcoat is, and the flesh very difficult to take away so i gave up and painted them with it on.

I think i did my best and after all the effect is no too bad, Hat forgiven though .......

28mm Napoleon

Here my first attempt on 28mm sculpting, due to a suggestion of a fellow forum member in TMP,
the horse (which went out a bit too small compared to a Perry cuirassiers heavy one) coud fit perfectly the size of the Emperor mount, so i tried my luck with him.
Result : not yet proportioned, i need to shorten the neck, and see if the hat is enough low on the head.... and the figure is a bit smaller than a Perry one, although i used a very precise proportion (1/58 scale or 28mm eyes line)
any comment is welcome.

Zed's Franznaps

Wow, the first of my miniatures painted from somebody, it is my friend Zed's work, bronze winning award at Heiden, see his work at http://zedsnappies.blogspot.nl/
He did a fantastic job counting the fact that i gave him terrible sprues own casted and he had a lot of hell to make out such beauties from that crap.
BRAVO !!!!!

28mm horse

Yes I did it!!!
My first attempt in sculpting 28mm went smooth, it is much easy than 1/72 scale, you can have more room for details, i compared with a Perry infantryman, which is scale 1/58, or 28mm on eyes line; and it fit enough.
as i compared with a Perry cuirassier heavy horse the head is quite smaller, while the body fits, other quality is that the legs of mine are slimmer, anyway  i know what to adjust for the next.
